Abstract—A new dicynodont genus Australobarbarus gen. nov. and species A. kotelnitschi and A. platyceph-
alus sp. nov. of the family Cryptodontidae from the Port Kotelnich locality (Kirov Region, Upper Permian) are
described. The variability of the cranial characteristics are considered.
