Abstract—The effect of the polydisperse composition, heat and mass transfer, and determining parameters of
two-component two-phase suspensions on the processes of evolution of small impulsive waves of different ini-
tial shapes is investigated. The method of fast Fourier transform is used to perform calculations of the propaga-
tion of impulsive disturbances of small amplitude in mixtures of air with water vapor and droplets with contin-
uous and discrete size distribution of droplets. A considerable influence of the form of the droplet size distribu-
tion function and of phase transitions on the processes of evolution of small pulses in vapor–gas–droplet
systems is demonstrated.
