Cell and Tissue Biology  is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original experimental and theoretical research articles and review papers encompassing a wide range of topics in cell research, including morphology, biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, molecular biology, and immunology. The primary objective of the journal is to provide a platform for studies on cells (animal and plant cells, both in vivo and in cell culture). The journal reports on the structure and functions of live cells as a whole. The journal also publishes articles on the biology of free-living and parasitic protists, which, unlike Metazoa, represent eukaryotic organisms at the cellular level of organization. Cell and Tissue Biology  is not a translation journal. It publishes manuscripts originally submitted in English and translated works. The sources of content are indicated at the article level.
